Περίληψη

Abstract

Strong light-matter coupling regime in asymmetric double quantum well (QW) based microcavities has been shown to give rise to dipole oriented polariton state. These structures are expected to exhibit remarkable nonlinearities owing to unique possibility these systems offer to engineer polariton-polariton interactions. Here we investigate nonlinear properties of dipole oriented polaritons through bias controlled bistability measurements in specially prepared microcavity structures fabricated to allow transmission measurements while biased. We investigate polariton-polariton interactions as well as under the bias field.
