We are a Solid-State Chemistry laboratory focusing on the exploratory synthesis of semiconducting materials for energy and quantum applications.
Our research focuses on the materials’ discovery via wet and solid-state chemistry in metal halide inorganic frameworks and related materials.

By employing crystal chemistry principles, we develop materials with enhanced properties based on crystal structure design and optimization and we target applications associated with the symmetry- induced structural phase transitions, the excitons present quantum confined systems and the efficient charge-carrier extraction in semiconducting devices.
