UoC STUDENTS WIN THE SILVER MEDAL at the iGEM World Synthetic Biology Competition

The research team of undergraduate students in the UoC School of Sciences and Engineering, iGEM uniCRETE, won a silver medal in the iGEM World Synthetic Biology Competition, which took place in Paris in November 2-5, 2023.

The team was guided by Ms. Filippidi Emmanouela, Professor at the UoC Department of Materials Science, and Ms. Gizeli Electra, Professor at the UoC Department of Biology.

Distinction for Prof. M. Chatzinikolaidou

Prof. M. Chatzinikolaidou was elected International Fellow of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (FTERM) for «outstanding contributions to the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with outputs of clear professional excellence». The distinction was awarded at the TERMIS 2023 convention in Manchester, UK.
