The Department has at its disposal various scholarships every year.
Manassaki Scholarship
The University of Crete grants scholarships every year, with selection, at the expense of the income of the “Maria Michael Manassaki” endowment. At DMST, the Manassaki scholarship is honorary and is awarded on academic criteria. The general terms of participation and their specialization for the Department of Materials Science and Technology are described in each year’s call. The selection of the scholarship(s) is made by the Assembly of the Department after a relevant recommendation of the Manassaki Scholarship Committee with criteria:
- for first-time graduate students, their academic-scientific performance (bachelor-postgraduate degree, scholarships, awards, publications) up to and including the year to which the announcement relates,
- for postgraduate students already enrolled, regardless of whether they previously received the scholarship or not, their performance until the decision.
ΑΔΜΗΕ Scholarship

The scholarships are granted to post-graduate students (students of Master’s – level 2 and Doctoral Study Programs – level 3) of the School of Science and Engineering of the University of Crete for their research work on issues related to Energy and the Environment.
