Anyone who holds a postgraduate degree awarded by a Higher Educational Institution (HEI) in Greece or abroad or a graduate of an undergraduate degree program of a HEI in Greece or abroad, the successful completion of which leads to the award of a single and indivisible degree in accordance with article 78 of Law 4957/2022, has the right to apply for registration in the doctoral studies program.
The right to apply for a doctoral thesis is granted to holders of a Diploma of Postgraduate Studies (MSc) from a higher education institution in Greece or a recognized equivalent degree from a foreign country or an integrated postgraduate degree (Integrated Master).
Tuition fees: Doctoral studies at the Department are offered free of charge.

If the application is accepted, a prerequisite for enrollment in the PhD program is the presentation of certified copies of the degrees or certificates of recognition of studies and all other supporting documents.

There are no specific submission periods. Those interested, after coming into direct contact and consultation with the proposed Supervisor and then with the other members of the proposed three-member advisory committee, can proceed with their application to the Department.
The evaluation of applications is carried out by the Postgraduate Studies Committee of the Department. The Assembly of the Department, after taking into account the recommendation of the committee and the opinion of the proposed supervisor, approves or rejects the candidate’s application.
