Περίληψη / Abstract

Polymers, due to their multiscale complex structure, exhibit a broad range of dynamics, which can be detected with light scattering techniques and rheology. Understanding how mechanical stress impacts dynamics is also very interesting. Under these circumstances, in the framework of my PhD thesis, we have built a homemade multispeckle light scattering set-up, coupled with a rheometer, which will allow us to apply shear to the material and capture in real-time the changes of the speckle pattern, unveiling the impact of a mechanical deformation on the polymer microscopic dynamics. With this apparatus, we will be able to further explore the dynamics and structural characteristics of different polymeric materials, focusing especially on vitrimers for plastic recycling.
